"Books aren't written - they're rewritten. Including your own. It is one of the hardest things to accept, especially after the seventh rewrite hasn't quite done it." - Michael Crichton

The James-York Critique Group, members of the  Chesapeake Bay Writers, meet on the third Saturday of every month at the Tabb Library in York County from 1:30 – 3:30 pm. All meetings are free and open to the public.

If you want to submit work to be critiqued, you may join our group site at
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/jamesyorkcritiques/, or you can bring hard copies to the group for critique at the following month’s meeting
. Please make sure that your writing includes your name and title, with numbered pages.

It is strongly encouraged that you submit a synopsis prior to submitting novel chapters. This will give members an opportunity to evaluate the story arc and fully understand the work being submitted.

There are no restrictions on the genre, number or size of the submissions. You are more than welcome to join us and simply sit in on our meetings to see how the process works. You do not need to submit your work every month, or even every year. We welcome all types of writers, and look forward to sharing our work with you!
