"Books aren't written - they're rewritten. Including your own. It is one of the hardest things to accept, especially after the seventh rewrite hasn't quite done it." - Michael Crichton

Gloucester Owls Critique (evenings): Have you wanted to attend a writers group, but none matched your busy schedule? The new Gloucester Owls Critique group normally meets the last Saturday of each month at 7:00 PM. See upcoming events on the main menu for this month's schedule and location. Bring your writing or just come and try the group on for size! Prose or poetry, novels or plays, come share them all. We welcome all genres. The Gloucester Owls Critique group is part of the Chesapeake Bay Writers Club, a chapter of Virginia Writers Club. The meetings are free, priceless. E-mail Gary Herring or call him at (804) 694-5646.

Mathews Critique group: meets from 10 A.M. to Noon at the Mathews County Public Library on the fourth Wednesday of each month as dictated by interest from area writers. Call Group Coordinator Paul Stimson at (804) 725-0707 if you are interested in attending. Otherwise you may find an empty room. (E-Mail Paul).
