Boucher

Author Bio

Ron Boucher has spent a lifetime bringing stories to life—on stage, in the studio, and now, on the page. A classically trained singer and dancer, Ron began performing at age 15 and went on to appear with the New York City Opera, the Metropolitan Opera, and with the Emmy Award winning, Prince Street Players. But his greatest role has been behind the scenes—teaching, directing, and nurturing young talent. As founder of the Community Alliance for the Performing Arts (CAPA) Fund and co-creator of the Eastern Virginia School of the Performing Arts, Ron has dedicated over two decades to helping children and teens find their voices—literally and artistically. From the footlights of opera houses to the joy of watching students shine in their first stage roles, Ron’s journey is a celebration of passion, perseverance, and the transformative power of the arts.

Additional Info

This is my first official book. I began writing my autobiography as an exercise before starting my wife’s biography, but it quickly became more than practice. Over four years it grew into a personal journey of passion and dedication, helping me discover how much I enjoy shaping real-life stories on the page.

Prelude is a heartfelt autobiography tracing my journey from opera stages to arts education, revealing passion, perseverance, and the transformative power of performance and teaching.
