David grew up in the coal mining region of central Pennsylvania. After enlisting in the Air Force, he served 8 years as an electronics technician before completing his bachelor’s degree. Selected for Officer Training School, he served another 20 years as an officer in a variety of positions related to command, control, communications, computers, and intelligence, culminating in a faculty position at the Joint Forces Staff College. After retiring from the Air Force, he entered a second career in industry focused on cybersecurity, serving as part owner and chief operating officer of a company primarily supporting Navy, DoD and other Government customers. He is now retired from that business and serves as a Deputy Registrar for York County elections—and finally has time to write again!
