Beginning her life at a crossroads of cultures, places and peoples, Gimbiya sought out the stories we tell each other and tell ourselves –educational and entertainment, history and hearsay, true and untrue. As a writer, she written thought pieces, devotionals and children’s books –on topics ranging from reparations and reconciliation to compost and commandments. She believes the best stories are as complex as our lives together and have a kaleidoscope of lessons, warnings, celebrations and meanings.
